having a high blood pressure is significantly increasing your risk of having heart attack , stroke, heart disease and even kidney disease which is why high blood pressure is known as silent killer because it has no symptoms until it has some serious complications and research has shown that having a blood pressure under control can reduce risk of having a heart attack or stroke

BAD HABITS THAT INCREASES HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

The two bad habit that increases the risk to high blood pressure are heavy alcohol consumption and smoking

When we say heavy alcohol consumption is drinking more than 40units per week

when we talk about smoking, we mean smoking any amount

NOTE do not smoke and do not drink heavily (you do not want high blood pressure)

HOW TO PREVENT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

SALT

Just by reducing your salt intake to 1 teaspoon a day which is equivalent to 6grams has been proven to reduce the blood pressure

SLEEP

Sleep deprivation has been showed to increase the high blood pressure, so try and get a minimum of 6hrs sleep per night

COFFEE

If you drink more than 4cups a day, it could increase your blood pressure, so if you’re a big fan of tea or any other stuffs that contain caffeine

EXERCISE

Be more active in doing daily exercise; five days per week.

It helps you reduce weight and helps in reducing blood pressure
